Why own your domain
Your domain is your business's address online
- Instant credibility
- A yourbusiness.mx inspires more trust than a social profile or a free page.
- Professional email
- With your domain you can use addresses like hello@yourbusiness.mx instead of a free account.
- Protect your brand
- Register it before someone else does. Many businesses also secure the .com and .com.mx.
- Local trust
- .mx and .com.mx tell customers you are a Mexican business.
How it works
Register your domain in three steps
- 1
Search your name
Type your brand's name and instantly see which extensions are free and their price.
- 2
Pick a term and pay
From 1 to several years depending on the extension. Some get a discount on longer terms.
- 3
Connect it
Use it with your hosting or email, or point it anywhere from the DNS editor.
Quick guide
How do you choose a good domain for your business?
A good domain is short, easy to type and easy to say out loud. Avoid hyphens, numbers and tricky spellings: if you have to spell it over the phone, customers will get it wrong.
If you sell in Mexico, .mx or .com.mx convey closeness and trust; .com is the most recognized extension worldwide. Ideally, register your name in the main extensions to protect your brand and redirect them to your site.
Before deciding, check that the name is not someone else’s trademark and that it is free on social networks: the same name everywhere makes you easier to find.
| Extension comparison | .mx / .com.mx | .com |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Businesses selling in Mexico | Brands with global reach |
| What it conveys | Mexican company | International presence |
| Availability | Often more names free | Many names already taken |
